CHOIR CELL

“Singing once is praying twice”
Says St. Augustine

Choir cell helps the congregation of our Parish to praise God in singing. Thus we take up singing in the Parish on every Sundays, feast days and other important days of the Parish. We take up singing on other occasions like weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. This cell meets regularly on Saturday for its practices. The members are very regular and co-operative. The people who are in this cell make every effort to be present for the practices in spite of their work and busy schedule.

Fr. Cyril George, msfs, heads this cell and John Rodrigues is the representative of the Choir Cell for Parish Pastoral Council. We take up singing not only in English but also in several other languages. The melody of our Parish choir is heard on feast days with multilingual singing. Our choir Cell has professionals in various instruments like guitar, violin, keyboard, drums, etc.

We welcome anyone who is willing to join this choir. We expect persons who can totally dedicate themselves for this venture. We believe that we are not professionals by birth but by our interest, practice and perseverance. We have various other activities to bind the members as a group like visiting and helping the sick, outings, excursions, picnics, seminars, taking up singing for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, ordinations and any religious functions.

Thank You Lord for the joy You give us, in just singing together and being together. In spite of our many shortcomings, we offer You our voices and music in the story of Your Holy Name. May what we sing with our lips come meaningful from our hearts. Help us to sender Your praises as to inspire to those who listen to us with a closer relationship with You. Amen.
